Dr. Cassandra Smith, CMA

Dr. Smith has taught accounting at technical, two-year, and university college levels within a 14-year period. She has spent more than 10 years as a member of Toastmasters International cultivating her communication and leadership skills. Prior to her academic career, Dr. Smith spent eight years analyzing financial information for non-profit and private companies. She has served as President over a five-year period for civic, social, and professional organizations. She is a Certified Management Accountant who has earned a Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate in Business Administration. Dr. Smith completed 200-hours of training to become a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. She enjoys yoga, beaches, and Black History Museums.

Vice President:

Ms. Dumitra Pascu, CMA, CPA

Dumitra Pascu has started as a student member of IMA in 2009. She is a CPA , CMA and has obtained the CSCA certification in 2017. She has eight years  experience in finance and accounting and six years in quality assurance and process improvement.

Dumitra serves as LTRC delegate for Evansville Chapter President Elect for LTRC. Few other roles in IMA Evansville Chapter include Chapter President and VP of Education and Membership.

Dumitra holds an Economics  degree from Academy of Economics Studies of Bucharest and a Certificate in Professional Accountancy from University of Southern Indiana in Evansville.  Currently, Dumitra serves as a Senior Financial Analyst for Astra Zeneca in Mount Vernon, Indiana.

Treasurer

Brad Hamilton has been a member of IMA since the early 1990’s. He is a CPA and CMA, and has spent 35 years working as an accountant in industry, the past 29 as a controller at various businesses.

Brad currently serves as a member of the IMA Global Board Technology Solutions & Practices Committee. His past roles in IMA include:

  • 2 Terms as Board President in the Memphis, Tennessee Chapter
  • 2 Terms as Board President in the South Central Indiana Chapter
  • 2012-13 Lincoln Trail Regional Council IMA President
  • Numerous roles on the boards of both Chapters he has served in

Brad holds an undergraduate degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois, and an MBA from the University of Toledo. Mr. Hamilton currently serves as a Controller for the Corporate IT group at Cummins Inc. in Columbus, Indiana.

Secretary & Webmaster:

Savannah Camp is currently working towards earning her 2nd Master, in Business Intelligence & Analytics, having obtain her CMA in August 2018. Savannah has been a member of IMA since February 2015, and when she returned to the Louisville, KY area started working with the Louisville IMA Board with events in September 2015.

Savannah started on the LTRC Board as the Webmaster for the 2017-2018 board members. Currently, she holds the Treasurer position for the Louisville IMA Board, and has continued to hold the board position as Webmaster for the 2018-2019 Board members in addition to agreeing to uphold the Secretary position for the rest of the 2018-2019 fiscal year.

Susan enjoys her role in improving the financial stability of the foundation so that the mission can be accomplished. The foundation (a TN educational non-profit) operates the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, Hall of Fame Grill & Catering, LLC and two historic sites open to the public: Historic RCA Studio B and Hatch Show Print. Prior to joining the foundation in 2000, Susan’s career included internal bank auditing and being the owner of her own CPA practice, which gave her the flexibility to work from home while her children were young.

 Susan is past council president and past chapter president. She holds a bachelors in from Middle Tennessee State University. Susan and her husband enjoy doing anything outdoors with their four adult children and grandchild. Susan sings and travels with internationally recognized Metro Nashville Chorus.

Karen Daniel, CPA has enjoyed membership in IMA for about 10 years.  Before serving as President of the Nashville Chapter for 2018-19, she served as Director of Professional Education and assisted with secretary and website duties.  She earned her BS in Business Administration – Accounting from University of Tennessee – Knoxville and has worked at Vanderbilt University for 25 years.  In her spare time, she loves crocheting, reading and singing.

My name is Eneida Ziraj. I got involved with the IMA at the student chapter level at Eastern Michigan University where I earned a degree in Accounting Information Systems. I served as the President of the Student Chapter and it was a very rewarding experience. I was able to secure an internship and a full time job through the IMA Student Leadership Conference in Florida. I have been working for a year as a Financial Analyst at Cummins Inc. where I am part of the Finance Development Program. So far through the program I have worked in various fields of accounting and finance such as plant/operational finance, Planning/Forecasting and Internal Auditing.

Currently, I serve as a Co-Director in the Operations team at the South Central Indiana Chapter. I am also working towards my CMA, and will sit in October.

I love the outdoors, in my free time I do a lot of hiking and camping.
